Water temperature on the increase

Report Date: April 1, 2010

Sailfish have been hard; they moved out. They will be back. A few king mackerel are around. A bottom pole will still catch you a nice mutton snapper. There are amber jacks on the wreaks.

Grouper season remains closed. The reef fishing is ok, the water temp. is only 65. too cold for a good snapper bite. There are a good number of spanish and cero mackerel on the patches.

I took a ride into the gulf to look for the spanish mackerel; we found them along with bluefish and trout.
