Captain Izzy has been fishing Miami, Key Largo & Islamorada all his life, and has operated his own full-time sportfishing charter operation for over fifteen years. Whether its trying to catch dinner, a trophy of a lifetime, or taking the family out for a day on the water. You would have made the correct decision, choosing him. He knows what people expect and tries to provide it. In fact, he makes a very special effort to insure that the novice or young anglers are having fun.

When you reserve a trip with Captain Izzy, you have a wide choice of species to fish for. Wether its the bluewaters of the gulfstream or the tranquil waters of the backcountry. He will provide all the knowledge and tackle necessary to make your time on the water and enjoyable and productive one.

Captain Izzy is at home whether chasing bluewater species like dolphin, sailfish or marlin or pursuing tarpon, snook or trout in the backcountry. Therefore, it is appropriate that he operates two boats, a 30 foot traditional express sportfisherman and 20 foot center console. The 30 footer is docked in Islamorada. It has twin inboards (gas-no diesel odors) and a full bathroom for the ladies. The inboards allow the entire stern (back) of the boat to be fished. This is a huge advantage whether backing down on a sailfish or fishing the reef for snappers and groupers. This boat is licensed for six anglers, but he prefers to fish four anglers on it. The 20 foot center console is kept on a trailer, thereby, allowing it to be fished anywhere - Miami, Key Largo or Islamorada. In the past, the boat has proven to be perfect for tarpon fishing. Its size is such that a 100 pound tarpon can actually pull the boat; thereby putting more pressure on the fish and shortening the battle. Captain Izzy has caught sailfish off Miami in the morning and tarpon in Government cut that evening on this boat. This boat has proven itself at home in 200 feet of water in the gulfstream or 2 feet of water in the backcountry. Three anglers can comfortably fish this boat.

Captain Izzy is licensed to guide in the Everglades National Park, permit #9027. He is also a Met registered guide. His clients have posted winning entries in the Metropolitan South Florida Fishing Tournament, The Coconuts Dolphin Tournament and also an International Gamefish Association record.
